Subject: The Quickest and Easiest Way to Strength Training Success

Hi Friend,

KISS is much more than a funky sounding acronym. The "Keep it simple, stupid" principle can also become an invaluable strength training tool when you're looking to avoid being overwhelmed or intimidated by unnecessary complexity.

Want an example of how this principle can help you?

KISS can help put into practice strength training routines that are effective, uncomplicated — and most importantly — simple.

Below is a KISS routine you might want to try:

Workout 1: Squat
Workout 2: Bench Press
Workout 3: Bent-Over Barbell Row

Or how about one of my personal favourites? Then try this:

Workout 1: Deadlift
Workout 2: Dip

It’s an often overlooked fact that one of the quickest and easiest ways to succeed is to choose a simple routine… and there isn’t anything much simpler than selecting a single exercise ultra-abbreviated workout.

But following the KISS principle only gets you so far. To REALLY succeed requires you to plan your work and business (and life) around your exercise, rather than the other way around.

Why is that?

A couple of reasons:

1. If you plan your work first, then you’ll almost never stick to your workout plan. It’s amazing how quickly good intentions can fall by the wayside, and before you know it, you haven’t made it to the gym in weeks. Instead, make your current fitness regime a habit and start every day the right way.

2. Exercise is more important than work. How so? Well, if you don’t have your health and strength, then in truth you have nothing. Since you only have one body, it’s in your very best interests to take good care of the one you've got — after all, that ol’ body of yours has to last you a lifetime.

What’s the take-home message here?

Oftentimes, the simplest way is the quickest and easiest way to succeed, so don't be afraid to follow the KISS principle and do less.

Don't forget that ultra-abbreviated training has helped everyone from beginners to the strongest men in history, and it can help you too.

Until next time,
