2017 Kitchen Design Trends to Consider for your Next Remodel
Gayler Design Build lets us in on this year’s latest kitchen design trends

It’s official – we love our kitchens! And we’re not the only ones. According to a Houzz survey published in 2016, kitchen remodels are among the most popular home renovations in the US – and they’re on the rise - with homeowners spending up to 12% more on kitchen remodels than they did the previous year. According to the survey, homeowners are as into kitchen updates as we are: With about half the participants revitalizing their entire design, and nearly as many opting to replace outdated finishes. 2017 is well on its way, so it’s time to let you in on the best kitchen design trends for the Tri-Valley/Lamorinda area!

A Beautiful Outdoor Great Room Perfect for Entertaining and California Living

Our client, a young executive in the cosmetics industry, wanted to take advantage of a very large, empty space between her house and pool to create a beautiful and functional outdoor living space to entertain family and clients, and to hold business meetings. Gayler Design Build, in collaboration with Jeff Culbertson/Culbertson Durst Interiors, designed and built this gorgeous Outdoor Great Room.

The 3-Bid Myth: Uncover the Facts
A Never Before Look at What's Behind the Competitive Bid Process

When hiring a remodeling contractor for a home remodeling project, the traditional practice of seeking out “competitive” bids from at least three companies is generally considered the best way to go. However, in this process, you are expected to assume the burden of all design decisions before soliciting any bids. Once you finalize a bid, any deviations from the original project scope are handled with change orders, and change orders can cost more in cash, delays, and frustration than you bargained for.

If you’re considering hiring a remodeling contractor any time soon, you must read this important document that uncovers the critical facts behind seeking competitive bids. Find out how to choose a remodeling contractor that is right for you without flying blind.
The highest compliment our clients can give us is to recommend our company to a friend or family member. All of us at Gayler Design Build extend a huge thank you to Helene and Mike Maher for referring their daughter, Staci Ball, to us. Thank you very much for trusting us with your valuable referral!
