Meet our new Orleans team!
Dr. Katrina Greer
Chiropractor

Hello! My name is Dr. Katrina Greer. I was born and raised in the small town of Kemptville, just outside of Ottawa.

My chiropractic story started a long time ago. Before I was born, my dad sought chiropractic care to correct postural issues. Once he understood the importance of a healthy spine for all ages, he decided to introduce my brother and I to chiropractic when we were born. I had my first adjustment at only 2 weeks old! From then on, regular chiropractic treatment became part of a healthy lifestyle for our family.

Looking back, I am grateful for my father’s insight. I started karate at age nine and loved it so much I pursued it all the way to Canada’s National Team. There were too many instances to count where I was happy my chiropractor would be helping realign my spine after training and competitions!

Practicing within the philosophy of martial arts, I became dedicated to becoming the best version of myself, and devoted to helping others do the same. Achieving my black belt meant that I was finally a Sensei, translated from Japanese into “teacher” or “doctor”. A career in chiropractic, where I would be fortunate enough to educate and heal others, slowly became the natural path for me.

While completing my studies, first in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa, and then at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, I remained active as a kickboxing instructor and member of the health promotions team on campus.

When I am not with family and friends, I can be found kickboxing, dancing in Zumba class, exploring nature, or out on the slopes. I love using my skills and passion for chiropractic care to reduce pain and disability, optimize function, and improve the quality of life of my patients!

I look forward to working with you!
Sincerely,
Dr. Katrina Greer, DC, B.Sc.
Hannah Lohnes
Acupuncturist

Hello! My name is Hannah Lohnes and I am a Registered Acupuncturist. I grew up in a small community near Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. In 2009 I moved to Ottawa to study at the University of Ottawa where I completed a 4-year Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences.

After finishing my undergraduate degree, I had to figure out what was next. And to be very honest, I wasn’t sure what that was! I did know I wanted to do something in healthcare.

Many Acupuncturists will tell you that they became interested in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) through personal experience, or having someone close to them with a positive experience. This however, is not my case. I had never had acupuncture, nor had any of my friends or family try it. In fact, it was a well known fact that I was terrified of needles (luckily I quickly learned how thin acupuncture needles are compared to needles you’ll find in a doctors office!). But I was curious. I had to drive by a Chinese Medicine school every day to get to work. It was as simple as that. Curiosity! Within 4 days of walking into the school to inquire about their programs I was sitting in class, and my curiosity continued to grow.

Since finishing school I have gained valuable training with an amazing mentor and friend, worked in a clinic specializing in cancer and acupuncture and have started teaching at the school from which I graduated. Now I am so happy to continue my adventure with Oaktree!

The human body has amazing innate powers including the ability to heal itself. Sometimes it just needs a little encouragement and coaching! I love that Acupuncture and TCM considers the patient from a holistic perspective, values the prevention of illness, and promotes healing in a natural way. It is truly amazing to be part of peoples’ path of health and wellness!

When I am not in clinic, teaching or studying, I continue to be curious and active! I enjoy activities such as hiking, dragon boating, kickboxing, salsa and indoor bouldering, and am always looking to try new things as well! Traveling is another passion of mine. Slowly but surely I hope to visit as many countries as possible.

I hope I have piqued your curiosity, and look forward to helping you!

Hannah Lohnes, R.Ac, B.HSc
