There was an ass in a hole

And a Fox in a den

With the ass was a mole

With the fox was a hen

The ass kept on digging

Deeper and deeper

The fox thought his hen

was a bloody good keeper

As the ass reached the level

Where his masters did dwell

The fox said well fug'im

He belongs there in hell.

The hen was quick to respond

She fluffed her nice feathers

And strutted and preened

From her mouth uttered words

From which the fox gleaned

A message so nice

He kept it on ice

For it signaled the end

Was just the beginning

November He said

Was the start of great winning

Meanwhile the ass

Sat down in his house

Along with the rat

That was his queer spouse

and I could go on

Forever

in like vein

But it is time

to get on

with the Job

And refrain

From foretelling the fate

Of the ass and the mole

For the fox and his friend

Have set a trap for
