How to Price Your Services Without Underselling Yourself

1. Know your numbers first

  • Calculate what you actually need to earn monthly — include taxes, business expenses, and your own pay

  • Work backwards from that number to set a baseline rate, not the other way around

2. Stop anchoring to your hourly nursing wage

  • Your rate as a business owner reflects your expertise, outcomes, and the transformation you provide — not your last paycheck

  • Clients pay for results, not hours

3. Test and adjust â€”  and don't feel bad about it

  • Factor in your consultation time, follow-up, prep, and the years of clinical knowledge behind every service

  • If you only charge for "face time," you're leaving most of your value unpaid

Mindset shift:

"I was charging $50 an hour because that's what felt 'reasonable' as a nurse. When I reframed my offer around outcomes instead of time, I tripled my rate — and signed two clients that same week."
