This year the NNBA will be celebrating its 30th Anniversary. Thousands of nurses have benefited from membership in the NNBA and have launched new businesses. I look forward to our continued growth. This summer I’m traveling to Pittsburgh to conduct an essential business skills workshop with Dr. Renee Thompson. Our workshop’s focus will be on improving communications skills which will empower today’s nurse regardless of their setting. Details on CE’s and registration will be coming soon. I’m super excited about this one because I get to go back to my home turf so join us July 15th at Robert Morris University.

    Nicole M. Brown
    RN, MSN

    Nicole is a nurse educator with 20 years of nursing experience. Both a current doctoral candidate and an Army veteran, Nicole’s biggest job is as a proud mother of three. She’s dedicated to providing positive images of the nursing profession for children and the world, including writing children's book about nurses.

    “I think when too many people think nurse, getting sick or being hurt comes to mind,” Nicole laughs. “But I hope to teach kids at a young age that seeing a nurse is a good thing. It means they’re getting well.”

    Nicole has a lifetime of experience as a nurse and educator. She’s nursed at some of the largest hospitals in the southeast, including Virginia and Florida. Meanwhile, she’s been on the staff of several major universities as a nursing educator.

    Author of several books, Nicole has big plans for 2015 with the introduction of her line of Nurse Dolls and will soon be introducing educational and mentorship products and services for future nurses, nurses and nurse moms. Nicole is an inspiration for nurse entrepreneurs and aspiring nurses. She has demonstrated her commitment by sharing her passion of the nursing profession.
