| | | | Dear Nurses,
Can you believe that in a month from today, we will be celebrating the New Year? If time seems to evaporate in front of your eyes, you could be in the “Flow state”. In the 70’s, University of Chicago psychologist, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, began one of the largest psychological surveys ever, asking people about the times in their life when they felt and performed their best. There is a good deal of science behind the "Flow state", and its benefits of sustained concentration, unbridled productivity, complete absorption, and authentic happiness. Success and Flow go hand in hand, from gold medal winners, to entrepreneurs. So, how about you? Are you able to identify those projects that place you in this Flow state? It’s a good time of year for evaluating, and making the decision that 2020 will be a year filled with getting with the Flow. Don’t forget, our annual educational conference’s Call for Speakers application has a deadline of December 30, 2019. The categories are for new and aspiring nurse entrepreneurs, for the existing nurse business owners, and specialty or niched topics. This is a reminder for our NNBA members that have not filled out the bio area of their accounts. Many times when Carol and Heather are welcoming new members, they ask to be connected with nurses that have similar interests or businesses. Also, I receive multiple emails from long time members that request connections and coaching referrals. The bio information helps you become more visible to the nurse entrepreneur world so be sure to add it. Please let Carol or Heather know if you need any assistance. Thank you! Our first article of interest below is excellent and brief - How to Create Your Own Unique Info Product. Hint…take inventory of you! We negotiate every day, and the outcomes of even minor conversations affects the quality of our lives. The Negotiation Skills You Need As a Communicator gives advice on how to ask for what you want, and to prosper. Interested in what the 4 main paths to becoming a millionaire are? This is the Fastest Path to Being a Millionaire reveals them, and which one is the hardest.
Have you checked out the #NNBA2019 Conference pictures? There are two pages in the photo gallery, and there is a good chance you will see yourself. For those of you that couldn’t make it this year, place September 25-27th on your calendars for #NNBA2020 Conference. We have many special events planned for NNBA’s 35th Anniversary of being in business. |

| Everyone has ideas, everyone is unique, and everyone has something to offer. That being said I’m going to teach you some ways to create your own Unique Info Product. Remember to start with the basics. Start with You.
Before you go off researching every idea that strikes your fancy, take a look at yourself. Ask yourself what you may have to offer. Chances are you may know more than what you think.
Start by taking inventory of yourself. What are you currently doing for a living? What are your hobbies? What unique interests do you currently have? By doing this self-evaluation you could end up with more ideas that are familiar to you than you could imagine. This in itself could potentially save you countless hours of research, which will save you time and ultimately money. |

| Benjamin Netanyahu once said, “You can only end a negotiation for peace if you begin it.” He is, of course, speaking about world peace, but the concept works for business negotiations, too.
You can’t get what you want if you aren’t willing to start the conversation. For some reason, a good majority of us avoid it like the plague.
But, as the quote says, you can’t achieve world peace if you aren’t willing to ask for it.
Let’s talk about how to ask for what you want so you can continue to grow, prosper, and be happy.
In a blog post a few weeks ago, Laura Petrolino talked about the four skills you need in every successful client negotiation. She shared some great advice on how to navigate the sometimes difficult landscape of serving customers well and still being profitable.

| Why is it to hard to achieve financial success in life? What specific things are the rich doing every day that the rest of us aren’t? Is there a specific formula for accumulating extreme wealth? According to my “Rich Habits” study, in which I spent five years observing and documenting the daily activities of 233 wealthy individuals (all had at least $160,000 in annual gross income and $3.2 million in net assets), I found that there are four main paths to becoming a multimillionaire:
1. The Saver-Investors path: No matter what their day job is, individuals in this group make saving and investing part of their daily routine. They’re constantly thinking about smart ways to grow their wealth.
2. The Company Climbers path: Climbers work for a large company and devote all of their time and energy to climbing the corporate ladder until they land a senior executive position. Read More |
