Note #1: This plugin is so good I've actually put the development of my own ZenMember plugin on hold, indefinitely!
Note #2: they've thrown in 3 wicked bonus plugins that are well worth getting your hands on, scroll down to see the details.
the only reason you need membership software or plugin is to Control Access to your important content (download pages and files, & membership and tutorial areas) for your subscribers or customers...
The biggest problem with those is you constantly run into 3rd party integration issues and these kind of scripts completely take over your wordpress site.
And that's without starting on the endless hours of learning all the confusing 'features', most of which you will never actually use...
I've spent years looking for a simpler solution, I've even had my own developed, but now I've found one that does exactly what we need, AND Keeps It Super Simple! (KISS)
I'll pop the list of what it does below, but there's three bits that really stood out for me:
#1: this works with email subscribers as well as paying customers
#2: it manages refunds, removing access for you
#3: there's no ongoing license fees, most membership software is a rcurring cost, this isn't!
they're calling it a "Stupid Simple Controlled Access System", and I have to agree, that's exactly what it is...
No more expensive membership software (or even yearly fees), no more confusion, no more lost time in trying to figure out how to get things working the way you want.
They have developed this for their own business and it took them 6 months to do it.
Here's a quick summary:
~ Provides Wordpress page based controlled access for ANY purchased item AND optin subscribers without the hassle of time consuming membership set up...
~ Download links for purchased products or opt in incentives are 100% protected per user, it's impossible to detect the actual file download locations...
~ For purchased items one MUST register and be logged in to download the file or access content...
~ Captures every resgistration in auto responders like Getresponse, Aweber, iContact, Mailchimp, Sendy and Interspire...
~ Offers the option to let opt in subscribers register as well for additional access to bonuses, content, etc...
~ Links that are shared simply do NOT work. Unauthorized visitors can be redirected to ANY website URL...
~ Shared links are logged, so you can immediately see WHO is sharing their links and take action on it...
~ You can grant access to additional content or downloads for every purchased item or subscriber, simply by picking pages from a simple pull down menu...
~ WP Certify also processes refunds, revoking access to downloads, pages and content !
