Subject: You’re invited to volunteer for NGLA!

Message from the Executive Director

A great deal has changed since the NGLA Annual Conference in Baltimore. First and foremost, NGLA would like to send our best wishes to our communities throughout the Northeast. We hope this message finds you in good health and good spirits. As many organizations are addressing the current reality around us, many are still looking toward the future.

Today, we open our Call for Volunteers to begin planning for the 2021 NGLA Annual Conference. We are navitagiting situations that many of us have never experienced and strong leadership is needed now more than ever. We are seeking individuals with a passion for helping create transformational educational experiences. Positions are a one-year term.

Interested in learning more? Know someone that would be a good fit? We encourage you to contact Katie Hartmann or apply by May 26.

Stay safe, stay healthy, stay home!

“Volunteering for NGLA has provided me with a refreshed perspective and inspiration for pursuing a career as a fraternity and sorority professional within higher education and student affairs. In my Student Staff and Special Programs Team roles, I have had opportunities to learn, network, and further develop as a professional, all while providing service to an organization that has become like another family, and to a functional area that has shaped my sense of purpose. NGLA truly excels in its capacity to develop Greek students, leaders, communities, and advisors. It prepares its members for action and impact on their respective campuses, and has an incredible ability to both challenge and inspire growth. NGLA celebrates Greek leadership and the achievements of its members in a way that truly reflects the highest standard of responsibility and purpose of fraternity and sorority life. It is both my personal and professional goal to continue to serve NGLA, so that NGLA can continue to positively impact Greek communities and ignite sparks of leadership within the hearts and minds of each individual that it reaches. I am extremely proud, honored, and energized to be a volunteer for such an outstanding organization, and to have found a home within NGLA.”
