The Northeast Greek Leadership Association is excited to announce the appointment of a new Executive Director and Treasurer, welcomes three new members to the Board of Directors, and recognizes three outgoing members of the Board of Directors.
NGLA Welcomes New Executive Director and Treasurer
The Northeast Greek Leadership Association is pleased to announce the appointment of current Board of Directors members Kevin Pons as Executive Director and John DiSarro as Treasurer. Emily Perlow, outgoing Executive Director, states, “I’m thrilled to see the new leadership on the Board of Directors. They bring fresh vision, energy, and a can-do spirit. I’m proud of the work that the board has done over the last decade and look forward to all this board will accomplish as we approach our 20th anniversary.”
Kevin Pons
Kevin Pons has served the Association in a variety of roles over the last eight years from Conference Team to Assistant Executive Director. Kevin's fraternity and sorority advising experience includes student life at University of Delaware and Bucknell University, and national headquarters leadership at Sigma Pi Fraternity. He holds a Bachelor's in Marketing from Johnson & Wales University and a Master's in Education from University of Delaware. The Association has a big place in Kevin's heart not only because of the incredible volunteers, but because he met his wife while they were both serving on NGLA Student Staff in 2012. Kevin and Taylor currently live near Boston with their son Harrison.
John DiSarro
John has been an active volunteer with NGLA for a decade. John serves as the Director of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs at the University of Rochester, where he’s worked since 2009. John earned a Master’s in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Rochester where he is working toward his EdD in Educational Administration. John is also an active volunteer with Alpha Chi Rho Fraternity.
Welcome to Michael Davis, Tina VanSteenbergen, and Allen White
The Northeast Greek Leadership Association is excited to announce the appointment of three new members to the Board of Directors, Michael Davis, Tina VanSteenbergen, and Allen White. These members will serve a three-year term, which begins in June 2019. Kevin Pons, Executive Director, states, “We are really excited to welcome Michael, Tina, and Allen to the Board of Directors. Their passion, combined with their skills and experiences, will help advance the mission of NGLA. I think they are exactly who we need to join our team right now. We can't wait to get started!”

Joining the Board of Directors are:
Michael Davis
Michael currently serves as the Assistant Director for Leadership Development at Seton Hall University. Prior to working at Seton Hall, Michael worked for Sigma Pi Fraternity’s Executive Office as a Regional Director. He actively volunteers for several fraternal organizations and has been volunteering with NGLA since 2016. Michael earned his Bachelor’s in Interpersonal/Organizational Communication at the University of Central Florida and a Master’s in Public Administration – Nonprofit Management.

Tina VanSteenbergen
Tina has been serving college students as a professional speaker for the past five years. When on stage her audiences are captivated by her quick wit, addictive charisma, and prowess at hitting salient take-home points through an authentic storytelling delivery. Tina speaks to students around North America about how to bring the heart back to their leadership styles, and the voices back to women in their organizations and relationships. Tina received her Bachelor’s from Hamline University and her Master’s from Illinois State University. She is a proud Minnesotan who will happily pour on her accent when asked. Tina currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.

Allen White
Allen White is a native of Florida currently residing in Newark, New Jersey. He has worked in Fraternity & Sorority Affairs for a decade and currently serves as the Assistant Director of Fraternity & Sorority Affairs at Rutgers University - New Brunswick. Previously, Allen worked at The New Jersey Institute of Technology, George Mason University, and The University of North Texas. Allen received his Bachelor’s in Finance and Master’s in Education in College Student Affairs from The University of South Florida. As a member of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Incorporated, he currently serves as the International Director of Undergraduate Affairs and has previously served in several national and regional roles.

Farewell to Outgoing Board Members
The Northeast Greek Leadership Association offers great appreciation for three outgoing board members, whose terms conclude in June 2019: Adam Cantley, Dave Conner, and Emily Perlow. Adam has served on the board since 2013, and Dave and Emily retire from the board after nine years of volunteering.

Kevin Pons, Executive Director, states, “Emily, Dave, and Adam have contributed so much to NGLA over the last several years. A lot of our progress to date is a direct result of their efforts. I have never met a more dedicated group of professionals. The three of them are not only colleagues, but our dear friends. Thank you so much for your selfless contributions over the years. The Board of Directors and the entire Association is better because of you."


The Association is grateful for the service of Adam, Dave, and Emily to advance the organization.
