| Monday Poway Adult Ed Class- Beg/Int and Int/Adv classes
6:30 pm Beg/Int class: We went over some awesome moves this week. You did so great in class. So did you do your homework…I want to hear about how it felt dancing down those aisles!. So this week lets continue adding on and learn a few more steps. Keep practicing those ¾ shimmies! Let your friends know about the class, there is always room for more, enroll now!
7:45 pm Int/Adv class: Repetitions coming your way girls! Did you practice the fun dance phrases we did last week. No worries, there are more where those came from!

| | | Wednesday- Sohaila's Shining Stars Class- All level belly dance class and Choreography class
7-8 pm: I know last class was a bit challenging adding the arms and hands into play with your movements. You all did great though. It makes you really think of the whole package right. I want you girls to look amazing when you are performing. Lets see how you put them together this week. Looking forward to it!
8-9 pm: you What a great job you all did in class. I want to thank you for coming to class and always giving it your all. You will look amazing in the events coming up. You did a great job for your first time playing the zills with 6 min. samir. This week will be even better, I am sure!. So we will go over the line up in full with a few seconds in between to put on your zills/pick up cane, etc. NOTE: For those not coming to this choreography class you will no longer be able to perform in any upcoming events. Events that I schedule will only be for my choreography students. No exceptions. If you are an online member you have these choreography class practices in your member hub for you to watch how you are doing. |
| | | Thursday- NewVo at Being Fit gym Mira Mesa class:
7:30 pm: This is always such a fun class. Join in on the fun and stay fit with NewVo…a multicultural inspired fitness class for your body, mind and soul. An all over workout from head to toe, incorporating fun dance moves from around the world in a fitness setting. Using the veils, the sohaila bands and mats!

| | | Friday- Palomar College class- Near and Middle Eastern Dance class course 162, 163, 262 and 263 9:00 am
At this time everyone should have there costumes set and have ordered your shirts. Please keep practicing your dances. Everyone must know your dance in full. I will see who knows it or not this Friday! Come on girls and guys, make me proud!!! For those in the fan veil number, please be in class at 9 am sharp. I want to see you in action and knowing this piece perfectly. Reminder, I have already sent you the line up and mandatory practice pdf's by your individual emails. Let me know if you didn't get it.
I hope you enjoyed learning these fun folkloric dance styles that I have in my Near and Middle Eastern workbook. So what was your favorite…Persian dance, Khalleeji dance, or Debke perhaps? For me, I love them all.
This week we will focus on technique for the show! -------------------------

I always take special requests so if you want to work on a specific muscle group or want to see some more fun inspiring moves, just let me know! Email me and let me know exactly what you would like to focus on..perhaps inner and outer thighs. Possibly the arms….just let me know and I will dedicate the workout to you! Just like Debbra did, she asked if we can focus this last class for inner and outer thighs and gluteus, so we did!

Patio Playhouse in Escondido is proud to be performing Eugene Ionesco’s, Rhinoceros, which runs from March 20-April 19. What a great show it is!!!!
We’re a community theatre whose goals are to entertain, engage, and challenge our audiences. It’s rare that a play does all three as well as Rhinoceros. For sixty years it has sparked discussions about what a free society means and what it requires. And it’s funny as hell.
Rhinoceros is an absurdist farce, often cited as one of the most important dramatic masterpieces of the 20th century. People in a French village, one by one, transform into rhinoceroses. In this absurd world, everyday situations erupt with explosive laughter and nightmare anxiety. Under the cover of absurdity and humor lie lessons of conformity, culture, mass movements, philosophy and morality.
We want to make this play available to theatre arts, sociology and political science students because it addresses issues relevant to their major. And it’s performed so rarely, it’s unlikely they’ll have the opportunity to see it in their lifetime. Here’s what one member of the audience from the opening weekend said about the performance.
"This thought provoking play was presented beautifully, with complex dialogue sequences tightly dialed in. My seats were right up close to the action and it was impossible to not be affected by the intensity of the situation. A perfect work for this intimate theatre."
