Welcome Friend, to your class inspirational. Whether you are in my in studio classes or online classes, we are going to have a lot of fun in class and I want you to join me!
You know how fun it is for me in class when I watch my dancers practice and really understand their moves…..and not only that, when they practice and put their moves together their own dance style starts to shine! I just love it when it really comes together and they can see themselves in the mirror, moving, feeling free and just being themselves. This week we will learn tips to keep your style polished. Can't wait to see you in class this week.

| Monday- Palomar College class- Near and Middle Eastern Dance class course 162, 163, 262 and 263 (Professor JoEllen Handelsman)
7:00 pm - 9:50 pm- I hope you had a wonderful and relaxing spring break. So this week it's time to review our diagram patterns, script hip patterns, add our diagonal camels and body locks. Of course we also have to work on your choreographies for the upcoming show, can't believe it's just around the corner!
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
For the beginning and Intermediate students, this course is designed to develop knowledge of the following areas.
Introducing Classical and Folkloric dances from the Near and Middle East.
Classical Egyptian Folkloric dances that you will get a taste of: Beledy, Saidi, Fellahin, Khalleegi, Debke and Persian. If time permits, I few more.
Introduction of Middle Eastern rhythms: Beledy, Saidi, Ayoub, Chiftitelli, Masmoudi kabir and Khalleegi.
Introduction of Veil and Finger cymbals.
For the intermediate students: A taste of Choreography and much more! |
| | | Tuesday Poway Adult Ed Class- Beg/Int and Int/Adv classes
6:30 pm Beg/Int class: I hope you had a fun time last week for your first class. We actually did quite a few moves. Hope you were able to practice them, if not no worries, we will review and add more this week. Last week we covered head movements, arm poses, rib cage, camels, and basic walk. Again, we will review and add more fun moves.
7:30 pm Int/adv class: We didn't have a chance to work on any combinations last week, we covered a lot of moves for the beg/int gals. I am hoping to add a fun combination or two for you to have fun with this week. |
| | | | Wednesday- Sohaila's Shining Stars Class- All level belly dance class and Choreography class
7-8 pm: Last week we brought power into our dance moves, hope you had fun learning some tips. So this week it's all about adding your own style to your dance. I will give you some tips and tricks to do this. Can't wait!
8-9 pm: Thank you so much for Brigitte, Mimi, Tomoko, Katy and Kris for performing last Friday, we really had a lot of fun. This was a first for all of us I do believe! Let's talk about our next show coming up and work on specifics in class. Looking forward to it!

Sohaila teaches once every other month at the Birthing Education Center.
This is a fun class for those that are pregnant from 1 week to 9 months! No need to feel like you can't dance right before childbirth, you can! Belly dance moves can enhance your pregnancy and your child birth. The next class is in October Enroll and join us! Dates at a glance: Apr 16

Email me and let me know exactly what you would like to focus on..perhaps inner and outer thighs. Possibly the arms….just let me know and I will dedicate the workout to you! Just like Debbra did, she asked if we can focus this last class for inner and outer thighs and gluteus, so we did!
