The celebrity scandal seems to have brought out all our insecurities about the college admissions process and brand name vs “generic” schools.
Many of the members of our Paying For College 101 group have been turning to books that not only educate them about the system, but also remind them that it’s not necessarily where you go, but what you make of that trip when you get there.

ATTENTION FAMILIES OF 9th AND 10th GRADERS!!
Based on the requests of many members of our Paying For College 101 group, we are introducing our Concierge JV Service.
Just for 9th and 10th graders, this service will help the get a head start on the road to college.
We're doing a FB Live tonight (at 8:30pm) to discuss mistakes families make in the college process and how the Concierge JV Service can help you avoid these mistakes and reduce your anxiety.

We held two great live workshops this past week.
Jay London, The College Advice Guy, and a member of our Road2College Pros Network, hosted a webinar on How to Evaluate Financial Aid Offers.
Phew - It was 2 hours long and I learned a ton. First take away - the first offer a college gives is NEVER their BEST!!!
Maris Meddin held a workshop helping college freshman and sophomores land an awesome summer internship. It's not too late!! But you need to have a solid resume, know how to find companies and the right contact person, and then wow them in an interview.
