Matchmaking
Decisions, decisions.

When making what is probably the first of the most important decisions of your life, you want to be pretty confident.

By the time May 1st rolls around, you will want your student to have (hopefully) picked a school that is the best fit on many levels.

“7 Tips For Making the Final College Choice” sorts out the major deciding factors that should be considered, so that Decision Day will also become “Perfect Match Day.”

Shall I Compare Thee…
Introducing our newest tool!

The name might not be a showstopper, but what it does surely is. Our COMPARE COLLEGE OFFERS tool can help you know which number to compare across all the offers and then see what other students at the same school were offered!

In just 2 short weeks families have already shared over 1100 offers from more than 300 colleges!!

Try it here (it’s FREE!), and you can thank us later.
What We're Reading...
The celebrity scandal seems to have brought out all our insecurities about the college admissions process and brand name vs “generic” schools.

Many of the members of our Paying For College 101 group have been turning to books that not only educate them about the system, but also remind them that it’s not necessarily where you go, but what you make of that trip when you get there.

Here are some of their favorite picks:
Where You Go is Not Who You’ll Be by Frank Bruni
The Price of Admission by Daniel Golden
The Gatekeepers by Jacques Steinberg
How to Raise an Adult by Julie Lythcott-Haims

What’s up ahead on the road...
ATTENTION FAMILIES OF 9th AND 10th GRADERS!!
Based on the requests of many members of our Paying For College 101 group, we are introducing our Concierge JV Service.

Just for 9th and 10th graders, this service will help the get a head start on the road to college.

Take a look here.

We're doing a FB Live tonight (at 8:30pm) to discuss mistakes families make in the college process and how the Concierge JV Service can help you avoid these mistakes and reduce your anxiety.

You Can Still Get The Recordings....
We held two great live workshops this past week.

Jay London, The College Advice Guy, and a member of our Road2College Pros Network, hosted a webinar on How to Evaluate Financial Aid Offers.

Phew - It was 2 hours long and I learned a ton. First take away - the first offer a college gives is NEVER their BEST!!!

Maris Meddin held a workshop helping college freshman and sophomores land an awesome summer internship. It's not too late!! But you need to have a solid resume, know how to find companies and the right contact person, and then wow them in an interview.

You can still get the recordings and worksheets for both of these live events.
