ESSENTIAL TOOLS FOR FINDING MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS
If you're a parent of a high school freshman, sophomore, or junior, it's time to start learning about merit scholarships and how you can find them.

TO KICK OFF OUR NEW TOOLKIT FOR MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS, WE'RE HAVING A WEBINAR TO WALK THROUGH HOW TO USE BOTH RESOURCES, STEP BY STEP!
Wednesday, April 4th 8:30PM EST.

Within the last 4 years, I've gone through the college search and paying for college process twice! And I'll be doing it again one more time in a few years. So I know what it's like to look at crazy college prices and wonder if you can find colleges that are more affordable.

To hopefully save you time and some sleepless nights, I'm sharing the most important things I learned......
  • If you're a family that won't qualify for need based aid, but you don't have enough in savings to cover tuition, finding colleges that can offer your student merit scholarships is the key to lowering your college costs.
  • The total amount of scholarships colleges award is 4 times larger than money awarded through private scholarships.
  • You can figure out a college's generosity BEFORE your student applies.
  • Data is available to help you find colleges more likely to award scholarships, you just have to know where it is, what it means and how to use it.
  • Don't let your teen apply to whatever college he or she wants to and hope for the best. The financial circumstances to both of you are too significant.
  • Crafting a list of colleges that are financially feasible, is the most critical step in the whole college admissions process.

I'll be teaching a webinar to share my knowledge on the data that is available to find merit scholarships and more generous colleges.

I'm also collaborating with Wendy Nelson, of My Kid's College Choice, who spent the past 12 months compiling merit scholarships and their details, from college websites.

Our Merit Scholarship Toolkit includes two unique and valuable resources...

1. A College Data Spreadsheet, with data on financial aid, gradution, admissions, merit scholarships, student loans, and more for over 1500 four-year colleges, including Common Data Set information.

2. Access to a new database of over 11,000 college specific merit scholarships.

I wish I had access to this new database last year when my middle child was going through college admissions.

But by just using the information in the College Data Spreadsheet, she was accepted to the first 3 schools she applied to and received merit scholarships ranging from $5k to $30k per year!

If you decide to purchase the Merit Scholarship Toolkit, you'll be able to join us in a masterclass showing step by step how you can find colleges more likely to offer your student merit scholarships.
