Teaching Young Adults Financial Responsibility

As parents we worry about our children's futures on so many levels, particularly, will they become financially independent adults?

After having worked in financial services for many years, I understood the importance of being fiscally savvy, so I started teaching my children financial skills at a young age.

It started with comparing unit costs at the supermarket. As they got older our discussions moved on to using credit cards wisely, how money grows with compound interest, and the value of living below your means.

My children’s financial education started early, but it’s never too late to learn, even at young adulthood--especially at young adulthood.

Join me and Jeff Rose as we talk about money management skills young adults need to know, particularly before going off to college.
