Getting a part-time job as a high schooler can be a benefit on many lev-els. 

It gets them out of the house and away from their phones (yay!), they can earn money for college (yay!), and having a job can help them develop a sense of responsibility and accountability (yay!). 

If your teen is in doubt about what jobs are out there, have them read “15 Best-Paying Part-Time Jobs For High School Students.”

Cosigning a loan for your student may seem like it’s an act of generosity…and it is. BUT, there are many implications from that act that may not be clearly understood when you sign on the dotted line.
