An Australian captioning and transcription company has acquired Wisconsin company Caption IT to expand its footprint in the U.S., the firm recently announced.

Melbourne-based Access Innovation Holdings, doing business as Ai-Media, acquired the De Pere-based company along with acquiring CaptionAccess in Illinois for a combined $1.9 million, of which $1.6 million is in cash.

Caption IT offers captioning for live webcasts, television broadcasts and meetings, along with transcription services for meetings and events, and foreign language translation services. Fincantieri Marinette Marine: GE Marine to provide gas turbine engines for Constellation class frigates

DWASHINGTON D.C. – Fincantieri Marinette Marine will partner with GE Marine to provide gas turbine engines and associated equipment on the Navy’s Constellation-class frigates being designed and built in Wisconsin.

“GE Marine brings a proven and reliable gas turbine that integrates perfectly in our combined diesel electric and gas turbine (CODLAG) propulsion system,” said Dario Deste, President and CEO of Fincantieri Marine Group. “Fincantieri has a decades-long relationship with GE, and we are proud to have these American-made gas engines on our U.S. Navy frigates.”

MENASHA (WLUK) – When shipments of the COVID-19 vaccine arrive in boxes across the nation, they will include a piece of the Fox Cities.

Dura-Fibre, a Menasha-based paperboard manufacturer, is making laminated paperboard sleeves being used in the boxes.

BROWN COUNTY (WLUK) -- A new website has been created to help Brown County improve its internet infrastructure.

The county says it has launched a "broadband speed test initiative," which it says will help pursue better infrastructure in under-deserved areas.
