Georgia-Pacific Corp. announced that will add a new paper machine, converting equipment and 150 new jobs at the plant located at 1919 S. Broadway.

The expansion will take until mid-2024 to complete, said Mike Kawleski, Georgia-Pacific spokesperson. Once done, the 102-year-old Broadway Mill will employ about 1,000 people. ThedaCare, Bellin, Children's Wisconsin will partner to expand access to pediatric services in northeastern Wisconsin

APPLETON POST-CRESCENT

Three of northeastern Wisconsin's major health care systems are teaming to expand access to pediatric care and specialty services for families in the region.

In a Thursday interview with The Post-Crescent, leaders of ThedaCare, Bellin Health and Children's Wisconsin described the partnership as "the bridge" to services that might not have been as readily available to patients of the three systems individually.

Children's Wisconsin is aiming to grow the number of its specialists who live in the northeastern part of the state, adding to their cardiac specialists who are already based there, president and CEO Peggy Troy said Thursday.

Anchoring more services in the region will reduce the need for families to travel to Children's Milwaukee hospital for services, she said...

El-Amin working to give others an opportunity: Executive of the Year
MILWAUKEE BUSINESS JOURNAL

Que El-Amin sees 1,000 or more people like himself in Milwaukee who, given the right opportunity, can accomplish big things.

He’s trying to create inroads for those people through his work in both commercial real estate and entrepreneurship. After a major year in 2021 where the number and scale of his accomplishments grew significantly, El-Amin intends to do even more for others in Milwaukee who are waiting for their chance to rise.

“If we give everyone a chance, Milwaukee will be more successful,” he said. “There’s a lot of different ways to give people chances, and I’d say the first chance we have to give is more on the education side. If we do that, we can be the top-tier city we’re on the path to become. We’ll get there a lot quicker.”

El-Amin straddles the world of real estate development and entrepreneurship. Through his Scott Crawford Inc. – founded in 2007 under his two grandfathers’ last names – El-Amin this year started construction on what will become the state’s largest private affordable housing project: the Community Within the Corridor...
