TitletownTech helps StatusPRO launch first NFL-licensed virtual reality game
GREEN BAY PRESS GAZETTE

GREEN BAY - While StatusPRO's NFL PRO ERA virtual reality game allows fans to quarterback NFL football teams in realistic settings, it does not come with an appearance on a virtual Pat McAfee Show, or with bruised ribs and a broken thumb.

"This is as close as we can get it to the real thing," said Troy Jones, CEO of developer StatusPRO Inc. "If we didn’t feel like 'Hey, this is how it is when I make this throw, and this is how it looks when I’m in the pocket, and this is how it looks when I scramble,' then, you know, we would be trying to do our best to make the necessary changes so it did feel that way. (Andrew Hawkins, StatusPRO's co-founder) and I like to say: it’s one-to-one, but one-to-one with the most fun parts of playing the game."...

Door County florist combines artistic talents, love of flowers in newly blooming business
GREEN BAY PRESS GAZETTE

FISH CREEK − Owning a flower shop is a natural extension of Tracy Melger’s personality. Her business, The Artroom Flowers in Fish Creek, allows her to show off her creativity.

“I’ve always been passionate and creative,” Melger said. “I’ve hung with that kind of vibe and have been surrounded by art most of my life.”

The Green Bay SCORE client has the experience to prove that. She graduated from art school in Chicago, worked as a creative display artist at Neiman Marcus and obtained teaching certification in art at Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee. She taught in Japan and Milwaukee, and while teaching in Milwaukee, spent summers working for a florist..

Sturgeon Spirits distillery opens in Oshkosh with vodka. But there's more to come
OSHKOSH NORTHWESTERN

OSHKOSH – A new distillery has entered Oshkosh's lineup of breweries and a cidery, with a nod to a classic Lake Winnebago tradition.

Sturgeon Spirits, 2663 Oregon St., opened in November with its first product — vodka — available bottled or in cocktails at its on-site tasting room.

Owner Karl Loewenstein, a history professor at University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, started distilling as a hobby about five years ago, and while his kids are in college and he's almost ready to retire from teaching, he considered a second career. He bought the building in fall 2021 and spent the past year on opening preparations, as supply chain issues pushed back the original anticipated opening of last June, he said....

Update on A Million Dreamz 24/7 childcare center in Sheboygan
SHEBOYGAN SUN

SHEBOYGAN – Despite delays in licensing and construction, the eagerly-anticipated A Million Dreamz 24-hour childcare center continues to move forward. The facility, which is located at 415 Euclid Ave., was approved by the Sheboygan City Plan Commission earlier this year.

According to A Million Dreamz Executive Director Angel Berry, the biggest hurdle to opening so far has been licensing. “Currently we are in the midst of the arduous licensing process. The timing for our opening is out of our hands. We are poised and ready to open our first four classrooms as soon as we have a license in hand....
