Lawrence town board approves warehouse plan
WBAY

LAWRENCE -- A business has the go-ahead for its plans for a new warehouse in the town of Lawrence.

In a 4-1 vote Monday night, town leaders passed a plan to build a fulfillment center that will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Throughout the process, community members have voiced both concerns and support for the project.

The company, which has not been publicly identified, says the facility will create up to 1,500 jobs. It also means increased traffic in the area, adding about an estimated 35 cars and 20 to 30 trucks per hour during peak times in the morning and evening....

Hy-Vee submits plans for Bay Park Square's former Shopko store

ASHWAUBENON – Grocery store chain Hy-Vee may take over the space at Bay Park Square mall vacated by Shopko.

The Iowa-based chain has requested a liquor license for a bar/food hall/patio area, according to an agenda item before the Village Board Tuesday night.

An image submitted with the application shows the patio, pub, and food hall in an area on the southwest corner of the store, near where Shopko had an entrance to the mall. The application notes that space would have an exterior entrance, however...

Port of Green Bay busier in 2021 than in 2020

GREEN BAY -- As the shipping season enters its final weeks, the Port of Green Bay is reporting a busier 2021.

Port officials say nearly 1.8 million tons of goods have moved through the port so far this season. That's up 9% compared to the same time last year.
