Fond du Lac bike share program to launch in spring: What to know

The Fond du Lac City Council voted unanimously Wednesday night to approve the start of a city bike share program beginning in 2020, sponsored by Alliant Energy.
The city first began considering a bike share program in 2016, and looked into multiple vendors. That fall, the city hosted a “a bike share demonstration” at Hamilton Park to receive people’s feedback on their experience, and as well as noted insights from community partners on the possibility of a program, according to a memorandum from Community Development Director Dyann Benson.
