Brighid Riordan to become fifth CEO of Nsight

GREEN BAY -- Nsight announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed Brighid Riordan as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective January 1, 2022. Riordan currently holds the position of Chief Innovation Officer (CINO) and Vice President of Nsight’s Emerging Services and Public Affairs. She will replace Mark Nazé as CEO. Nazé has worked at Nsight for 37 years, in various positions ranging from accountant to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and over the past few years as CEO. He has chosen to resign per his desire to spend more time with his family. Nazé will remain on the Board of Directors and will continue to work with the company in a part-time role as Strategic Projects Officer....

PCMC announces new Packaging Innovation Center

GREEN BAY — Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC), part of Barry-Wehmiller, opened a new Packaging Innovation Center at its headquarters in Green Bay. The multi-purpose space is more than 4,700 square feet and will serve as a hub for demonstrations, training, education, industry trials, and research and development.

The Packaging Innovation Center also will be the home of equipment including a Fusion C flexographic press, Hudson-Sharp’s Ares 400-SUP stand-up pouch machine, a Meridian Elite laser anilox cleaner, an ELS-MAX inline press and the ION digital printing platform. These machines will be available for demonstrations, as well as for hands-on learning and training opportunities...

Wisconsin solar energy parks reach milestones

TWO CREEKS -- Wisconsin's first large-scale solar facility is proving to be an energy success as it marks its one-year anniversary.

Two Creeks Solar Park in Manitowoc County has been in operation since November of 2020.

Since then, WPS says the solar park as produced enough energy to:
  • Power more than 64 million smartphones for a year
  • Run more than 515,000 refrigerators for a year
  • Power more than 2,500 home games at Lambeau Field...

Kemps donates nearly 100,000 milk packages to Wisconsin food banks
WBAY

ST. PAUL -- Kemps is teaming up with Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin and Festival Foods to donate nearly 100,000 packages of milk to fight hunger in Wisconsin.

Kemps says 30,720 single-serve, 8-ounce (half-pint) packs will be donated to food pantries and shelters in an area covering Green Bay and Appleton.

The milk is pasteurized at ultra-high temperatures, giving it a shelf life up to 12 months. This allows the milk to be distributed to facilities and programs without cold storage, such as small food pantries and kids’ backpack programs....

Frontier Airlines to add nonstop flights to fourth destination from Green Bay in early 2022

ASHWAUBENON - Frontier Airlines will begin weekly, nonstop flights between Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida in early 2022.

The Denver-based, ultra-low-cost airline on Tuesday announced it would on Feb. 19 begin offering flights between Green Bay and Fort Lauderdale, with one flight each week between the two cities....

Two Rivers signs $1.2M purchase agreement with developer for former Paragon property
HERALD TIMES REPORTER

TWO RIVERS - Two Rivers City Council has signed a purchase agreement with Trivers LLC for a $1.2 million sale of the former Paragon Partners property on Parkway Boulevard.

According to City Manager Greg Buckley, the sale of the property would be a great boon for the community — increasing the tax base, bringing jobs to the community, and fixing up the site that has been vacant for more than 20 years.

“We can finally put to good use this building that has been sitting vacant for over 20 years and deteriorating and make something that looks good for the community and for that neighborhood,” Council President Adam Wachowski said.....

Algoma chamber to receive $10,000 grant from state to promote local events to visitors
GREEN BAY PRESS GAZETTE

ALGOMA - The Algoma Area Chamber of Commerce was awarded a $10,000 grant from the state's Destination Marketing Organization Grant Program.

The chamber plans to use the grant for printing and distributing its Friendly Algoma Visitors Guide, including expanding its distribution to new markets and making more people aware of Algoma's attractions, said Ken Weinaug, the chamber's executive director...
