The ice rink is scheduled to open for the season next Wednesday, Nov. 18.

City of Sheboygan recognized with DNR award

SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – Citing Sheboygan’s successful adoption of an automated cart-based garbage and recycling program, the City of Sheboygan has been recognized with one of four Projects and Initiatives Awards from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Fifteen recycling programs within a mix of businesses, nonprofits and local governments were recognized on Thursday. Brad Wolbert of the DNR said that the winners exemplify outstanding recycling and diversion practices, which the agency hopes others will emulate.

UWGB Continuing Professional Education - Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

The University of Wisconsin- Green Bay has developed a non-credit, certificate series on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. The Certificate Program will be available at two levels: Foundational and Advanced. Each certificate program will comprise five weekly modules. Delivery will also be an engaging mix of online and virtual discussion. The Foundational Level 1 Certificate Program will launch February 2021. 

The program will create a shared understanding based on terminology, general cultural context, as well as determining how and what communities and workplaces can do to be more inclusive, equitable and multicultural.
