Affordable housing solely for Veterans unveiled in the Fox Valley

GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WFRV) Some local soldiers looking to bring awareness to affordable housing for our veterans, through a grueling two-day, sixty mile, five county ruck march.

These soldiers completed their mission. Pat Lovesee, participated in ruck march and says, “We have a real need to take care of veterans and provide affordable housing for them.”

Native American veterans who are homeless get lift from Oneida Nation program

ONEIDA - A program operated by Oneida Nation is now in its fifth year assisting homeless American Indian veterans, who serve at higher rates in the military than anyone else.

The tribe was awarded more than $140,000 this year through the Housing and Urban Development-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing program.

Oneida Nation was one of nine tribes selected nationally to administer the program in their regions.

State Veterans Day observance goes virtual
