TitletownFlats welcomes first residents Monday

GREEN BAY — Residents are set to begin moving in Monday to TitletownFlats, the seven-story apartment building on the west side of Titletown.
Back in late September, Titletown Development LLC, the real estate development arm of the Green Bay Packers, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house for the apartment complex.
TitletownFlats, located along Brookwood Drive and Marlee Lane in the west end of Titletown features 152 units, ranging in size from studio to three-bedroom flats.

Donation by Green Bay Packaging boosts UW-Stout packaging program

MENOMONIE -- A national leader in the packaging industry has stepped forward to support a national leader in packaging education, University of Wisconsin-Stout.
The George Kress Foundation, part of Green Bay Packaging based in Green Bay, donated $180,000 to UW-Stout for an upgraded, interactive packaging classroom and a new high-tech specialty printer.
The gift was celebrated recently with a dedication event in the classroom, room 128 of the Applied Arts Building. The room has been renamed for the company and the George Kress Foundation....

Lawrence University to expand bee research with nearly $200,000 grant

APPLETON -- Bee research will be expanding at Lawrence University after the school announced it’s receiving a grant of almost $200,000 from the National Science Foundation.
Throughout the past five years, a lab at Lawrence University has focused on bee research - specifically, how to make bees more comfortable living in urban areas like Appleton.
Now, a major grant is expected to intensify that effort.
Assistant Professor of Biology Israel Del Toro says “What this grant allows us to do is basically look under the hood of a bee and look inside of a bee to try and understand what it’s role in the eco-system is.”
