Rol-Tec completes major plant expansion
WIS BUSINESS

GREEN BAY -- Rol-Tec has completed construction of a 15,700 s.f. addition to its Green Bay headquarters where it manufactures rubber covered rollers, metal roller bases, laser-engraved flexo sleeves, and tungsten carbide roller coatings for printing, industrial and converting operations throughout North America. The company is also a unique manufacturer of custom cast urethane parts for a variety of industrial applications.

According to president Matt Umentum, “The new addition will help improve work flow and increase production capacity to meet growing sales with both printing and converting customers. This includes a specially controlled 2,200 s.f center that houses our new laser engraving machines. We not only produce the highest quality print sleeves, but our state-of-the-industry laser engraving technology can handle the largest cylinders and process customer art files direct to PDF without manual art manipulation. This speeds production time, reduces file art charges, and prevents potential file transfer errors.”.

Genrich reveals proposal for Green Bay's $23.7 million in American Rescue Plan funds
WLUK

GREEN BAY -- For the first time, Green Bay’s mayor revealed a proposal for how the city should spend $23.7 million from the American Rescue Plan.

The money comes with restrictions. It is supposed to be spent on areas and people that were most affected by the pandemic.

Under Mayor Eric Genrich’s budget proposal, taxes will be going up for Green Bay residents for a fifth straight year. However, he says American Rescue Fund money is keeping the rate hike to one percent instead of two.

“I’m proposing $700,000, primarily to defray the cost of one-time spending on repairs to buildings, equipment repairs, equipment purchases, those sorts of things,” said Genrich...

The morning announcement came as a shock to Jay Abitz. The tech ed instructor was presented with a check for $50,000 from Harbor Freight Tools. Of that, $35,000 is earmarked for Freedom High School.

"It’s huge. We’ve never had a shot in the arm like this," Abitz said. "My annual budget is less than $10,000 a year, so if you could imagine getting three and a half years on the spot, and spending it on whatever you want."...

Fox Cities have more than 20 public charging stations for electric vehicles, and the number is rising
APPLETON POST-CRESCENT

Reader question: Are there any public electric vehicle charging stations in the Valley? If I were to use one, who pays for the electricity used to charge my vehicle?

Answer: I reached out to EnTech Solutions, which is a division of Faith Technologies Inc., for help, as I drive a gasoline-powered car.

Mike Collom, director of strategic accounts for EnTech Solutions, said there are more than 20 public charging stations in the Fox Cities, and the number is sure to rise as more electric vehicles — or EVs — hit the road.

The charging stations are located at hotels, car dealerships, grocery stores and other businesses. Some are reserved for customers and employees. Others are available to anyone.....
