Home buyers in northeast Wisconsin can get up to $6,000 for a down payment, if qualified and quick
Green Bay Press-Gazette
Local banks and NeighborWorks Green Bay have free money to give qualified home buyers in an 11-county area of northeast Wisconsin.

The only catch: Home buyers have to use the money by Nov. 10 when the federal grant expires.

Each prospective buyer could receive up to $6,000 in grant assistance that would be forgiven after the buyers live in the house for five years, said Noel Halvorsen, president and CEO of the nonprofit NeighborWorks organization.
