Children's Wisconsin will open a new clinic in Appleton in 2023

APPLETON — Children's Hospital of Wisconsin announced Monday it will open a new clinic location in Appleton in 2023.
The new clinic will be located off Interstate 41 on East Evergreen Drive, just east of North Ballard Road.
Children’s Wisconsin says it annually supports 50,000 visits by children who live in the northeast region. But due to existing clinical space, only about 20,000 of those visits happen at clinics in the area. Families travel to a location in the Milwaukee region for the other 30,000 visits...

More refugees coming to Wisconsin, some already in Green Bay

GREEN BAY -- We’re learning that the state might accept more Afghan refugees than the 399 that were first announced.
That conversation came up during a panel discussion Monday night involving state and local officials with first hand knowledge of the situation.
It was hosted by St. Norbert College and Catholic Charities of Green Bay.
“Here in Brown County we have already received our first Afghan clients. We now have I believe it’s seven and we will be welcoming more in the coming weeks,” said Karmen Lemke, of Catholic Charities of Green Bay....

Wisconsin homes keep selling, even as prices rise

It's still a seller's market in Wisconsin. And when homes go on the market, they sell.
The latest report from the Wisconsin Realtors Association found total sales through the first three quarters of the year were 1.5 percent higher than those in the same period last year.
But last month's 8,470 sales of existing homes trailed the figures for September 2020 by 8.6 percent.
And third quarter sales fell 8.2 percent from last year, though economist David Clark of Marquette University, who releases the monthly sales reports in conjunction with the WRA, said there was a very good reason why...
