"When you have Black educators, you can relate to them, you can learn from them, you can grow from them," she said. "They have experienced the same things we've experienced."

In a city where it's common for Black students to have only white teachers, the Alliance creates a space where kids can be supported and learn about their culture...

Port of Green Bay on track for annual cargo goal

GREEN BAY -- With four months to go in the shipping season, Port of Green Bay officials say the amount of cargo that has moved through the facility is near the amount through the same date in 2021.

Port officials say the 1.1 million tons of cargo is slightly lower than last year's number through the end of August.

Last month's 280,224 tons was up from July, but down from the more than 330,000 tons in August 2021...

DE PERE -- A new resource is available in Brown County for children on the autism spectrum. Wednesday, Caravel Autism Health held a grand opening for a new therapy clinic.

The building at 1511 W. Main Ave. in De Pere is filled with sensory-friendly spaces where therapists can work one-on-one with children to develop new skills and build confidence.

Caravel has been around since 2009. It also offers counseling and guidance for families impacted by autism...

APPLETON –ThedaCare and Bergstrom Automotive help make a final wish of a terminally ill man come true. Gary Gustafson–who is in hospice treatment with Parkinson’s disease–wanted to ride in a black Corvette convertible for his 64th birthday last month.
