The Manitowoc-based company plans to build a new operations center in Manitowoc’s Industrial Park at the corner of Dufek and West drives, the company said Wednesday.

The 13,100-square-foot, environmentally-friendly center will be on a nearly 9-acre site in the park. Construction is set to begin this fall and be completed by early spring 2022...

$30 million housing project will bring hotel, apartments to downtown Kaukauna

KAUKAUNA - Construction is scheduled to begin on a new $30 million downtown hotel and apartment complex.

The Kaukauna Common Council voted Aug. 3 to enter into two separate agreements with Kenosha-based Harvest Development, LLC, according to a press release from the city.

The proposal calls for a 68-room hotel and a 101-unit, market-rate apartment complex. The 3.1-acre site — once occupied by a Gustman dealership — is nearly an entire city block, bound by Lawe Street, Wisconsin Avenue and Catherine Street, the release said...

OSHKOSH – Both the city of Oshkosh and Winnebago County have grown slightly overall in the past decade, with significant increases in the number of people of color.

The city of Oshkosh grew about 1% to 66,816 residents in 2020, compared to 66,083 in 2010, according to 2020 population counts the U.S. Census Bureau released Thursday.

Winnebago County grew about 2.8% to 171,730 residents in 2020, compared to 166,994 in 2010, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. While the population increased over the past 10 years, estimates show it decreased from 171,907 in 2019...

KEWAUNEE - Kewaunee County's largest non-white demographic, the Hispanic/Latino population, was among several non-white races or ethnicities that showed notable population increases from 2010 to 2020 according to U.S. Census data released Thursday.

Key data from the U.S. census, released every 10 years, shows changing community demographics and helps to determine legislative and congressional district maps and federal funding allocation.

The pandemic delayed the collection and processing of the 2020 census data, and Thursday's results are the first of two releases — a more user-friendly release is scheduled for September.
