DE PERE – When life hands you a house fire, you make a beef jerky flavor out of it.
At least, that's how Kelly Schwartz is looking at her Fridge Jerky startup. The De Pere business woman who had a house fire destroy much of her business equipment last year is ready to relaunch.
She has seven flavors of her non-preservative and moist-texture jerky, made with variations of beef, chicken and mushroom. She recently added an eighth: a smoky flavor to allude to the fire that destroyed a big part of her home....
