Attract Develop and Retain Diverse Talent
Institute for Women in Leadership – Career Development Survey gaining insights on women in the workplace
UW-GREEN BAY

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Center for Public Affairs, in partnership with its newly launched Institute for Women in Leadership, invites you to participate in a research opportunity designed to gain insights on women in the workplace.

We respectfully invite you to support us in distributing this 10 minute survey to all working women within your organization and network.

What is the survey about?
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, in partnership with its newly launched Institute for Women in Leadership, has begun a research opportunity designed to gain insights on women in the workplace and women’s career development. It does not focus on the impact of COVID-19, rather on career development, challenges, workplace equity and culture.

How will the results be used?

While much data exists at the national level, local trends surrounding working women are limited. We seek to gather responses and share findings to further assist the NEW North region in attracting, retaining and developing talent. In particular, this research will offer insights into the particular needs of almost 50% of our workforce.

To show our appreciation, we will publicly release the report throughout the NEW North region to share findings.

What privacy assurances are there?
UW-Green Bay follows rigorous confidentiality and data privacy policies. The survey is anonymous and a copy is available upon request. No businesses nor respondents will ever be identified. Only aggregate results will be released. Please direct questions to Dr. Val Chandna (chandanv@uwgb.edu and Lora Warner warnerl@uwgb.edu

How should I distribute this survey?
Please send this survey link directly to your HR department or directly to women employees by forwarding this message. Or, you may wish to include a word of explanation, such as the following:

"Special thanks to NEW North for collaborating on this project as we seek to gain further understanding of the needs of working women throughout our 18-county economic development region."

First museum of its kind set to open Saturday in Sheboygan
WISCONSIN PUBLIC RADIO

SHEBOYGAN -- A visit to Art Preserve, a new Sheboygan County museum that opens Saturday, starts with a bar. It’s an evocation of Fred Smith’s bar up in Phillips, to be exact. The tavern owner was also a famous sculptor.

Museum staff used photos to recreate the bar, and they’re working with Milwaukee artist John Riepenhoff to brew a Fred Smith lager. It’ll be an easy-drinking affair since Smith only sold Rhinelander Shortys, said Laura Bickford, a curator at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center...
