Robots highlight Kewaunee County Breakfast on the Farm
DOOR COUNTY DAILY NEWS

KEWAUNEE COUNTY -- For the first time ever, at the Kewaunee County Breakfast on the Farm, you will be able to see a cow get milked without any farmers providing assistance. While previous editions of the Father’s Day tradition have featured rotary parlors where dozens of cows get milked at the same time, Kinnard Highland Dairy Farm in Casco will be the first to showcase robotic milking systems developed by Lely.

Dave and Randy Kinnard installed two systems in 2015 where they milked just over 100 cows. The herd has since grown to 290 cows after they installed a couple of more robots and added a robotic feed pusher to the mix in their free-stall barn. It is a far cry from when they last hosted the Breakfast on the Farm in 1989. David Kinnard is excited to show off how technology has helped them...

THE CENTER SQUARE - WISCONSIN

Rents in the United States hit a record high in April, according to real estate listing site Realtor.com, with rents rising 16.7% compared to the previous year. In contrast, over the previous five years, gross rents increased by 18.1%.

According to the most recent available data from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey, the median gross rent price in the United States is $1,096. In some major metropolitan areas, however, monthly housing costs are far lower, offering cash-strapped renters a break...
