Companies invited to meet with wood buyers from Pakistan on June 13
NEW NORTH, INC.

NEW NORTH – Wisconsin companies interested in meeting with wood buyers from Pakistan are invited to take part in an informational session and one-on-one business matchmaking meetings on June 13 in Green Bay. Nine pre-qualified buyers – in both softwood and hardwood – from the country will be visiting the New North region to learn more about available wood products.

The Pakistani group is touring Menominee Forest land and the Menominee Tribal Enterprises mill in Neopit, Wis. The wood buyers then will take part in the informational event, providing the opportunity for participating companies and members of the Lake States Lumber Association to generate new sales leads and to build relationships with key players from the Pakistani wood industry....

Green Bay Doulas and House of Hope Green Bay to Host 5th Annual Diaper Drive
HOUSE OF HOPE

GREEN BAY -- On July 16, Green Bay Doulas and House of Hope will host the 5th annual Diaper Green Bay diaper drive to benefit infants and families in our community experiencing homelessness and housing instability. The drive will raise diapers, wipes, funds, and awareness about family and childhood homelessness and the many families in need of clean, dry diapers throughout Green Bay. Businesses and organizations throughout the community will serve as diaper drop-off locations from June 20 to July 16, 2022.

One in three families in America struggles to provide their babies with clean diapers. Unfortunately, there are very few public resources to alleviate this problem. Food assistance programs do not cover diapers, most licensed daycare facilities require disposable diapers, and most laundromats do not allow the washing of cloth diapers due to sanitary concerns. This can lead to babies being kept in dirty diapers for extended periods of time, causing both physical and emotional suffering for so many little ones...

Gulfstream expanding in Appleton, adding 200 jobs

APPLETON  -- Gulfstream will construct an aircraft paint facility at its facility in Appleton, and will add more than 200 jobs.

The $55 million facility will be capable of painting 48 planes per year. The company plans to open the 73,000-square-foot facility in the fall of 2023.

“We are in a period of rapid growth and are currently hiring for a wide range of positions. We have openings for engineers, mechanics, avionics technicians and highly skilled trade and craftspeople. Gulfstream offers excellent training to assist in starting a new career in aviation,” said L.D. Buerger, vice president of completions, Gulfstream. “Gulfstream creates the world’s finest business aircraft, designed and outfitted with beautiful interiors. We are excited about this expansion and the opportunity to recruit and hire new talent to join the Gulfstream team at our Appleton facility.”...

Bellin, Gunderson explore merger as health care industry consolidation continues in Wisconsin

GREEN BAY - Gundersen Health System and Bellin Health are finalizing a merger that would create one of the largest health care providers in Wisconsin.

Discussions between Green Bay-based Bellin and La Crosse-based Gundersen evolved out of their joint involvement in AboutHealth, a network formed in 2014 by six of Wisconsin's largest care providers.

Together, Bellin and Gundersen would employ more than 14,000 people. They will operate 11 hospitals and more than 100 clinics. The not-for-profit providers’ service area would span western and northeastern Wisconsin, Upper Michigan, southeast Minnesota and northeast Iowa...

FOND DU LAC – One in three Wisconsin deaths are caused by heart attack or stroke, and SSM Health Greater Fond du Lac Region is taking a new step to expand heart care services available in the city.

The SSM Health Dale Michels Heart & Vascular Care center, 420 E. Division St., will spend the next year undergoing an $8.5 million dollar expansion to accommodate its growing list of physicians and heart services.

Additions will include a Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab, three new preparation and recovery rooms, a new private consultation room, renovated reception area, expanded employee spaces, a semi-private family waiting area and other aesthetic improvements...

OCONTO FALLS – HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital marked its first century of service with a Mass of Celebration and other events on Wednesday.
