NEW NORTH – The program has been finalized for the in-person New North Summit, to be held June 10 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay. It marks the final event in the 2021 ‘Playbook for Recovery’ series of New North Inc., following three previous virtual gatherings.

Online registration continues to be available at www.newnorthsummit.com. Those who registered for any of the virtual events do not need to register again. The event program runs from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m., with registration and networking starting at 7:30 a.m...

GO-EDC awards $250,000 loan to Oshkosh Food Co-op to spur job creation

OSHKOSH – The Greater Oshkosh Economic Development Corp. is awarding grants and loans to local businesses to help with spur job creation.

The Oshkosh Food Co-op received a $250,000 revolving loan fund from GO-EDC., which will help the grocery store open in late summer. The co-op will have to repay the loan, which has lower interest rates and comes from a $2.4 million fund...

Watersports, camping soon easier in Algoma; city to gain outdoor store from Door County

ALGOMA - The city's ability to supply residents and tourists with kayaks and paddleboards — and the gear needed to use them on area waterways — is about to expand, when its first store for that purpose opens soon. And, it's coming from Door County.

Bay Shore Outfitters, which has year-round silent sports stores in Sturgeon Bay and Sister Bay, is opening another store June 4 in Algoma. An official grand opening celebration will take place on a date to be announced.
