Lakeside Foods has donated close to 20,000 cases of product to food pantries since the coronavirus pandemic started in March, the company said in a news release Monday.
“We understand the essential role we play in keeping shelves stocked with nutritious, shelf-stable foods, not only at retail outlets, but also at community food pantries during this unprecedented time,” Lakeside Foods Chief Operating Officer Joe Yanda said in the release. “Our employees are invested in the communities where we operate, and they are proud to know that through their ongoing work they are helping to feed families struggling with food insecurity. Fox River Mall announces reopening

The Fox River Mall announced on Monday that it will reopen to the public on May 20.

In a statement from the Senior General Manager John Burgland, the mall will reopen on Wednesday, and the businesses that choose to re-open within the mall will be asked to follow the guidelines from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, CDC, and the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services.

A local non-profit is eager to reopen its doors after being forced to close by the state’s “Safer at Home” order. But Goodwill Industries of North Central Wisconsin (NWC) wants you to know they’ve instituted a number of changes to keep everyone safe.

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation has launched the “We’re all In” initiative, a program offering $75 million in grants to small businesses financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers announced today.

Funded largely by federal funds received through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, the initiative will provide direct assistance to small businesses impacted by the duration and restrictions of the pandemic.
