State to provide money toward redeveloping former Brin site in Menasha

MENASHA -- The City of Menasha is getting $250,000 in state money to redevelop the site of a former theater that burned down in 2018.

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation says the grant will help the $10 million project proposed for the site of the Brin Building at the corner of Main and Tayco streets. The city is working with developer The Brin LLC to buy the site, finish the remaining demolition and build the new development....

GREENVILLE -- Airport firefighters from around the world will now be coming to Northeast Wisconsin for training. The ATW Airport Rescue Fire Fighting Training Center, or ARFF, opened about a year ago. It’s a partnership between Appleton International Airport and Fox Valley Tech, but access to the facility has been limited due to the pandemic.

Firefighter rescue crews from Lacrosse Regional Airport are working on putting out an engine fire on a Boeing 777. It’s all part of the training they’re completing at the ATW ARFF....
