NEW MANUFACTURING ALLIANCE 

Nominations are now open for the 10th annual NEW Manufacturing Alliance’s “Excellence in Manufacturing/K-12 Partnerships Awards” being held on October 26, 2021 at the KI Convention Center in Green Bay. The event will spotlight best practices of manufacturing and education collaborations throughout northeast Wisconsin.

This year’s nomination period ends on June 10, 2021. The nomination form can be found at: https://form.jotform.com/211093466720149

Please consider nominating a deserving school and manufacturer. You can also self-nominate. The schools that win will receive a $500 cash award from the Alliance.

$28.6 billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund open for applications

FOX VALLEY -- The Small Business Administration (SBA) started accepting applications for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund on Monday.

“We have a lot of interest, we’re getting a lot of phone calls,” said Wisconsin SBA District Director Eric Ness.

Restaurants, breweries, coffee houses and the like are looking to get some of the $28.6 billion dollars available in the Restaurant Revitalization Fund, which is part of the American Rescue Plan Act.....

Associated Bank ties for region's top in customer satisfaction

Associated Bank tied with Chase Bank to earn top marks from customers in the upper Midwest, according to J.D. Power.

The firm’s annual survey of retail bank customers’ satisfaction this year shows Green Bay-based Associated Bank earned a score of 823 out of a possible 1,000 points. Along with Chase, Associated Bank took first place for the region, followed by BMO Harris Bank and U.S. Bank. The average score for the region was 796 points...

McCain Foods to hire for 100 jobs at Grand Chute plant

GRAND CHUTE - A local employer is bringing 100 jobs to the Fox Cities.

McCain Foods will add 100 jobs at its Grand Chute plant, 555 Hickory Farm Lane, through three open-hire events over the next two weeks. The events will be entirely virtual, according to a press release.

The hiring events will take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. McCain will hire for production line workers May 6, machine operators on May 11, and maintenance mechanics on May 12. Job offers will be made within 24 hours, the company said.....
