New North Inc. today was announced as one of nine local
organizations receiving grants from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) to help develop or expand programs aimed at advancing the climate for entrepreneurship throughout the state.

The announcement was made by Missy Hughes, Secretary and CEO of WEDC, the lead economic development organization of Wisconsin, along with Dept. of Administration Secretary Joel Brennan. An update on TitletownTech also was provided by Managing Partner Craig Dickman; Michelle Schuler, manager of Microsoft’s TechSpark Wisconsin; and the Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Popkey.

St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan will begin remodeling its main and emergency entrances and its lobby this month.

DST/AHI/LWV Black Women Suffragists Program 
Saturday, March 7th, 2pm at Red Lion Hotel

Join the Fox Valley 19th Amendment Centennial Coalition for this riveting event which be led by the North East Wisconsin Alumnae Chapter (NEWAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and African Heritage, Inc. with support from the League of Women Voters of Appleton. At this event you will hear Michelle Duster, the great-granddaughter of Ida B. Wells, speak about "Black Women’s History: African American Suffragists and the Struggle for Inclusion." Duster will be speaking Saturday, March 7th from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Red Lion Paper Valley Hotel. An hors d'oeuvre reception and book signing will follow the program. This is a ticketed event.
