The partnership will launch 1915 Studios, a pre-accelerator for early-stage companies innovating within hygiene, IoT (Internet of Things) and sensing. 1915 Studios will operate from space in Georgia-Pacific’s Consumer Products R&D center in Neenah, Wisconsin.
1915 Studios is a free accelerator for early-stage technology startups following the model of gener8tor’s gBETA program, which operates more than 20 other programs across the country. Oshkosh Corporation wins contract to build up to 165,000 'next generation' USPS mail trucks Oshkosh Northwestern OSHKOSH - The United States Postal Service has awarded a multi-billion-dollar contract to Oshkosh Corporation to build up to 165,000 "next generation" delivery vehicles over the course of the next decade, USPS announced Tuesday.
In August, Oshkosh Defense, a division of Oshkosh Corp., was one of five finalists for the contract to produce 50 prototype mail vehicles that could replace its aging fleet and use new technology and hybrid and alternative fuel sources.
Under the new contract, USPS will pay Oshkosh Defense $482 million to finalize the production design and equip factories for production of 50,000 to 165,000 delivery vehicles....

Wisconsin State Journal Leading up to the news of a proposed $100-million state investment in a venture capital fund, the Wisconsin Technology Council informally surveyed a small group of early-stage investors about the “demand” side of the equation.
Our informal query of eight such investors in Wisconsin revealed they could collectively invest between $92 million and $116 million per year in their existing Wisconsin-only portfolios — not counting new companies they have yet to see or consider as investment targets.
There are at least three-dozen active angel networks, angel funds and venture capital funds in Wisconsin, most of which invest predominantly in emerging companies close to home. That means there’s likely more than enough “deal flow” — a term describing the supply of young, high-growth companies — to merit such a fund...
