OSHKOSH -- Oshkosh Corporation is thinking green with its newest vehicle.

The company announced it has engineered and produced North America’s first fully integrated, electric refuse collection vehicle.

Traditional refuse vehicles require the mounting of a refuse collection body to a third-party chassis. The new Oshkosh integrated refuse collector has been designed from the ground up to offer customers a single original equipment manufacturer (OEM) electric vehicle (EV) solution, the company said....

Sister Bay clinic aims for spring opening
DOOR COUNTY DAILY NEWS

DOOR COUNTY -- You could be receiving treatment at Door County Medical Center’s Sister Bay Clinic as soon as the end of March. Door County Medical Center broke ground on the $14.5 million project in November 2021. 

On March 29th, Door County Medical Center will open its expanded rehabilitation center on the 30,000-square-foot facility’s second floor. It will replace its current operations at Scandia Village. A week later, the first floor will open to the public as the hospital moves its Fish Creek operations to Sister Bay. 

As a result, Door County Medical Center will be able to offer behavioral health services in addition to twice as many clinicians. Door County Medical Center President and CEO Brian Stephens says it is exciting to be able to open the facility for the sake of its patients and its medical professionals....

Pierce secures order for electric pumper from Madison Fire Department

APPLETON – Pierce Manufacturing Inc., announced it has secured a purchase order from the city of Madison Fire Department for a Pierce Volterra electric pumper.

The purchase order agreement follows an 18-month placement of a Pierce Volterra pumper at the department’s busiest station, Station No. 8, making it the first electric fire truck in service in North America. The Madison Fire Department was one of three fire departments across the United States to collaborate and provide daily operational data to assist with the final development, evaluation, and on-highway certification processes. The department’s thorough vetting, testing and operational use over the last 18 months resulted in the Madison solidifying its commitment in Pierce’s proven electric vehicle technology..

Multi-tenant building planned in Sturgeon Bay's industrial park
DOOR COUNTY PULSE 

STURGEON BAY -- A Green Bay–based company is planning to add a 50,000-square-foot building and space for about five tenants to the Industrial Park.

The Sturgeon Bay Common Council voted unanimously Feb. 7 to approve a memorandum of understanding (MOU), effective through the end of this year, between the city and Howard Immel, Inc. The company would design and construct the building, and in return, the city would provide the vacant, city-owned former Zak property along South Neenah Avenue and some level of financial incentives for construction....

Alayne Krause confirmed as new Sheboygan County Administrator

SHEBOYGAN -- As expected, the Sheboygan County Board on Tuesday night confirmed Alayne Krause as the new Sheboygan County Administrator. Krause takes the office formerly held by Adam Payne, with whom she served as Deputy Administrator. Payne resigned to accept Governor Tony Evers’ appointment to be the Secretary of the Wisconsin DNR in January.
