New North Inc.
NEW NORTH – New North Inc., the regional marketing and economic development corporation serving the 18 counties of Northeast Wisconsin, announced today that applications now are open for a third round of gener8tor Upskilling. The 10-week program focused on skills development is centered around IT Administration.

Upskilling is offered through a continuing partnership with Microsoft, gener8tor, the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation and Thrivent. The free accelerator program is designed for individuals ready to learn digital skills in order to apply for in-demand jobs in the region.
Applications to participate in the training are available at www.gener8torupskilling.com/northeast-wisconsin. The deadline to apply is March 3, 2021.

Ideal candidates are individuals with an interest in IT and are detail/tech oriented, though no prior IT experience is necessary. Those previously in office management and/or administrative assistant roles are considered a good fit...

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The first urban farm of its kind in Northeast Wisconsin takes a major step forward in helping others grow yellow perch indoors.

The Farmory is celebrating the first graduates of its Aquaculture Technician Certification Program.

Since launching its state-of-the-art commercial fish hatchery a year ago, The Farmory, located in Green Bay’s Navarino Neighborhood, has sold fingerling perch to more than 60 customers.

KCEDC Introduces Ben Nelson as Executive Director
The Kewaunee County Comet
The new executive director of the Kewaunee County Economic Development Corp. is a former Door County parks superintendent who most recently developed Radix Leadership, a consulting firm based in Kewaunee.

The KCEDC announcement said Ben Nelson brings the organization “nearly 20 years of value-oriented leadership experience from a variety of roles in complex organizations across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.”

Nelson holds two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, and his master’s degree in organizational leadership and administration from Concordia University...
