Community First CU promotes Joe Harvey to Senior VP Facilities
Community First Credit Union
Joe Harvey has been promoted to Senior Vice President Facilities at Community First Credit Union with over 20 years of construction, safety and facilities management experience.

Harvey joined Community First in January 2019 as VP of Maintenance and Building Operations. In his new role, he joins the Senior Leadership Team, overseeing the operations and maintenance for all of Community First’s 26 branch locations.

“We are fortunate to have Joe’s extensive experience in facility management, construction and team leadership to help serve Community First member-owners,” said Community First President/CEO Cathie Tierney.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (NBC 26) -- Some economists are saying the pandemic has caused the worst economic downturn the United States has experienced, since the great depression.

A new study from the Wisconsin Counties Association recently looked at data from March through November of 2020, to further examine some of the impacts of COVID-19 on the economy and jobs.

Fox Cities survey: Economy down during COVID-19 pandemic

APPLETON (WLUK) -- The Fox Cities Chamber released the results of an economic study on Tuesday.

Businesses in the Fox Cities in six different categories of businesses were invited to respond to a survey sent between mid-December and mid-January.

The study showed the COVID-19 pandemic had no significant effect on 32% of businesses who responded to the survey.

Appleton’s Gulfstream Aerospace facility to expand, create 200 new jobs

APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – Over 200 new jobs will be created from an expansion and renovation of Appleton’s Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. facility.

According to Gulfstream, the expansion will further enhance the creation and installation of Gulfstream aircraft interiors, while adding more than 200 new jobs.

This expansion is another effort in our long-range plan to upgrade and modernize Gulfstream facilities to further support our customers,” says Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream.

The project is part of a collaborative partnership with Appleton International Airport and will increase the current space by more than 13,000 square feet, bringing the total completion space to 126,500 square feet...

Nature's Way buys personalized nutrition company

GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- Nutritional supplement company Nature's Way has bought a company that specializes in personalized nutrition.

Green bay-based Nature's Way announced the acquisition of Baze on Wednesday. Baze makes a starter kit which includes an at-home blood test to determine customers' micronutrient levels, then devises a custom supplement and food plan.

New Holstein to redevelop Tecumseh site with help of $1.16 million grant

NEW HOLSTEIN, Wis. (WFRV) – The former Tecumseh Industrial building will be demolished in order to redevelop the 40-acre site into a ‘vibrant mixed-use development’.

According to New Holstein, the city has secured $1.16 million in grants, and these funds will assist with the teardown of the former Tecumseh Industrial building.

The building demolition is set to happen in mid-2021.
