Oshkosh Corp. unveils electric-hybrid troop carrying military vehicle
MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL  

Oshkosh Defense unveiled Tuesday an electric-hybrid version of its vehicle that's replaced many military Humvees.

Named the eJLTV, which stands for electric Joint Light Tactical Vehicle, it offers the U.S. Army and Marine Corps the same level of performance and protection as the conventional JLTV, according to Oshkosh. The new vehicle adds a silent-drive mode, extended fuel economy, and increased exportable power capability.

The electric hybrid, still a prototype, can run in silent mode on battery power for up to 30 minutes. It gets more than 20% better fuel mileage than the conventional JLTV....

Church volunteer teams welcome refugees as last of 200 Afghan evacuees arrive in the Fox Valley

One of the first hydrogen power pilot programs of its kind in the U.S. will begin testing in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

WEC Energy Group says it will test co-firing hydrogen with natural gas at one its power generation plants in the U.P.

A specific plant has not yet been selected. The company says it will either be at the F.D. Kuester Generating Station in Neguanee Township, near Marquette or the A.J. Mihm Generating Station in Baraga Township, near L’Anse....

Brown County United Way launches new Equity Challenge focused on LGBTQ+ community

Multicultural Coalition, Inc. hosts free COVID-19 vaccination event at Appleton North High School
MULTICULTURAL COALITION 

APPLETON – On Thursday, Jan. 27 from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m., the Multicultural Coalition, Inc. will hold a free COVID-19 vaccination event at Appleton North High School, located at 5000 N. Ballard Rd. in Appleton (map). The student and community-led event features interpreters for those who speak Hmong or Spanish, snacks, free books for kids, on-site education as well as diapers and personal hygiene products for those who need them.

This clinic is being initiated by three students at Appleton North High School. Isabella Leiva and Sophia Guttormsen started a group called AN Boost, which is dedicated to showing students how choices they make can impact their health. This group was created as part of a leadership class that the girls are in.
Additionally, Jack Cruz is also assisting with coordination of this clinic through an internship he is doing at Appleton North High School. The students reached out to the Multicultural Coalition, Inc. to have the group assist with hosting a vaccination clinic for AASD students and their families...
