Lakeside Forward, Agnesian foundation collect donations to rebuild burned playground gear

Donors are offering $40,000 to rebuild Lakeside Park playground equipment that was damaged by fire just before Christmas.

Lakeside Forward and Agnesian HealthCare Foundation plan to "collectively donate" the funds, they announced Thursday — one month after the equipment was burned by unknown parties.

Capital Credit Union relaunches Elevate Communities program

The Capital Credit Union’s Elevate Communities program is an initiative that supports projects brought forward by civic organizations located in Northeastern Wisconsin. The goal of this program is to fill a financial gap that may prevent a community from obtaining items or doing projects of need. For example, in 2020 the Southern Door Fire Department was able to be purchase a Jaws of Life Unit from this funding. These tools, while life-saving, are often expensive and out of reach for many departments.
