Fox Valley Workforce Development Board hosts Employment Fair
FOX VALLEY WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD

APPLETON -- The Fox Valley Workforce Development Board is seeking employers to register for a booth at their job fair on March 24 from 1-4 p.m. at the Fox Cities Exhibition Center in Appleton

Each 10x10' booth will have pipe & drape, a 42" skirted table, 2 director chairs and a company nameplate. If needed, registered companies should plan to bring their own internet hot spots and fully charged laptops (no electricity to booths will be provided). Up to two lunches will be provided per booth (please specify the quantity of lunches you'd like to order at registration).

A reminder will be sent to all registered companies one week prior to the fair...

Carnivore Meat Company continues to grow at a tremendous pace, outgrowing its current manufacturing footprint. The new building boasts 24,000 sq feet of space that will be utilized for finished goods warehousing and will also feature twelve custom-built freeze-dryers. These additional freeze-dryers will increase production capacity by 50% and are expected to be fully operational by July 2022, bringing the company’s production facilities up to 35 total freeze-dryers to meet surging consumer demand...

Shipping season hasn't finished yet for Port of Green Bay

GREEN BAY -- While far from ice-free, the Port of Green Bay wasn't a solid sheet of ice either on Thursday morning.

Part of the reason why it's so churned up is that shipping still hasn't stopped for the winter.

"I think we're gonna finish near 2 million tons, which is an indication of a good strong economy in northeastern Wisconsin. And these last couple vessels will add to that. We should be very near 2 million tons which is comparable to the last two years, which were both strong years," said Haen.

And as Haen alludes to, there are still some vessels left to come in to the port this season...

BROWN COUNTY -- Brown County’s MLK Celebration Committee will honor the life of Civil Rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr.

The 27th Brown County MLK Celebration will get underway Saturday, Jan. 15 at 10:30 a.m. That marks the date of Dr. King’s birth.
