Workshops at the
Womens Community Centre
(Payneham, South Aust.)
I'll be running a series of Friday afternoon workshops at the Centre starting October 24. Home cooked lunch will be available at very reasonable price (12md-1.30pm) - $7 for main course! So come early and join me for lunch before the workshop!
Please note: I am currently working on other projects (including establishing 'The Sustainability Supermarket') and have reduced the number of workshops on offer. So if you are wanting to take part in a workshop this series at the Centre offers a chance to do so.

| | | Natural Skin Care - Friday October 24 – 1-3 pm
Complete non-chemical skin-care regime - astringents, masks, scrubs, cleansers and moisturisers. Includes: Simple homemade cosmetics/skin creams, Make-at-home herbal skin products (from the garden). Making lip salves and creams.
In this workshop you'll make and take home: oatmeal wash, honey-oatmeal scrub, herbal skin cream, lip salve and bath-salts.
Green Cleaning - Friday October 31 – 1-3 pm
Do all your cleaning with just four basic household items: bicarb soda, vinegar, eucalyptus oil and soap. Never walk down the cleaning lane of the supermarket again!
Safe, cheap and environmentally friendly.
In the workshop you'll make and take home: Deodorising powder, furniture polish, heavy duty cleaning powder, soap jelly, lemon dish washing soap, oatmeal sachet.
Making Soap & Soap-based Products - Friday November 7 – 1-3 pm
Making plain soap simply and quickly. Easy to follow basic recipe with numerous variations. Transforming a bar of soap into a range of alternative soap – based products (detergent alternatives).
In this workshop you'll make and take home. Oatmeal soap, soap bag, English wash balls, pressed soap shapes, rose liquid hand soap.
Natural Pet Care - Friday November 14 – 1-3pm.
Eco friendly chemical free pet-care products to make at home from common household ingredients. Suited to cats and dogs. Saves money, good for your pet and the environment.
In this workshop you'll make and take home: Pet shampoo, Flea repellent and Coat conditioner.
Environmentally-friendly Gifts for Christmas - Friday November 21 – 1-3pm
Come along and create some lovely homemade environmentally friendly gifts for the whole family. Suitable for children over 6 years old accompanied by an adult.
In this workshop you'll make and take home: Body powder, Foot powder, Skin cream, Bath bags and Hand soaps.
