Come - Try my food!
I've been running a Cafe at the market for some years.  I'm a 'country-trained' cook - having been brought up on a farm where  'open hospitality' was essential, with hungry shearers and farm workers to feed - my mother taught me at young age how to 'throw' something together to feed the crowd!  So baking cakes, slices, scones, biscuits, etc. became second nature. So I quite enjoy my monthly cooking spree for the Cafe at the Market.
This Saturday my menu will include scones (with jam & cream), fruit & walnut slice, and other cakes & slices, spinach & fetta quiche, pesto & corn muffins, tomato and olive muffins, homemade hommous, (all vegetarian, some vegan and gluten free) plus homemade lemonade, herbal teas, peculated coffee, etc.
You are most welcome to share in the offerings!
The Shoppe Products
I'll also have for sale all 'The Shoppe Products'.  Here's the list - rose skin moisturiser, beeswax lip salve, rose hand wash, oatmeal bags, lavender & rosemary shampoo, rose body powder, a range of spray deodorants (rose, lavender and herbal), tubs of soap jelly, gardeners hand cleanser, deodorising foot powder, sage tooth-powder, eucalyptus room deodoriser, mint dish-washing soap and more.  Plus basic materials such as: beeswax, oatmeal, grated soap, bicarb soda, etc.
If not able to come to the market - don't worry, I'll be organising on-line sales of products in the near future - so stay tuned!
Start Small - Build Big
Stall sites are available at the market. Earn extra $’s!
My financial survival over the years has been selling at market stalls - whether it be secondhand items, things I have made or grown.  I found it a great way to make a few dollars to ease the financial pressure. If it was not for this small side-line I probably would not have been able to keep doing what I do - The Shoppe and the workshops.
The market provides an opportunity to sell your wares or things no longer of use.  It's only $5 per stall - very cheap compared with other similar events. Fee includes trestle and chairs. Anything home-made, home-grown, recycled is suitable.  For bookings email me and I'll make sure there's a space for you at the market!
Recipes from my Green Cleaning Demo:
Not able to come to demo?  Here's some of the things I'll be demonstrating on the day so you can do them at home!

Eucalyptus Disinfectant:
Half fill a recycled plastic bottle (an old vinegar bottle is ideal) with cheap (white) vinegar. Fill the remainder of the bottle with water. Add a four drops eucalyptus oil and 2 drops green food colouring. Apply lid and shake. For Lavender disinfectant use lavender oil and pink/purple colouring.

Carpet Deodoriser in a Jar:
Three-quarter fill a clean medium-sized jar with bicarbonate soda. Add 6 drops eucalyptus or lavender oil. Apply lid. Shake well to blend. Punch holes into the lid of the jar to form a sprinkle-top container. To Use: Sprinkle onto the carpet area, focusing specifically on areas that require extra deodorising. Leave 30 minutes - then vacuum or brush off.

Economical Soap Jelly:
Grate one bar of soap. Put one half in one 9  litre bucket. Put the other half of grated soap in another bucket. Add ½ cup washing soda and 2 litres of boiling water to each bucket. Stir both buckets until mixture has dissolved. Top each bucket up to full with water. Leave to cool. Use approx. 1 cup of mix to full wash tub (for clothes) OR use to wash dishes (in place of detergent) OR as a liquid hand wash or hair shampoo.
