2014 Quinta Do Avelar
Arinto
Lisboa, Portugal

$18 bottle

Besides having the ideal micro-climate for white wines The clay and limestone soil of the middle and lower slopes of the Trancao River provide an ideal environment for the Arinto, one of the most nobel varities of white grapes in Portugal.
Citrus aromas and some green notes of apple and pear. A small stage in wood gives vanilla bean aromas and some white pepper combined with a good acidity and a more mineral character make it an excellent companion to the table.
