Bruno Prats, the genius behind Cos d'Estournel for 30 years, has an exciting new project in Spain. Long convinced of the potential of Monastrell, Prats joined forces with esteemed winemaker Stephane Point to realize his dream of making wine in his beloved Alicante region on the Mediterranean coast. The result is an elegant expression of this terroir that can't help but have the classic influence of a Bordeaux master.

" The 2010 Mosyca is a blend of 40% Monastrell, 20% Syrah, 20% Cabernet and 20% Petit Verdot aged for 12 months in oak barrels (20% of which are new), a Mediterranean blend lifted by the Bordeaux grapes, with fine tannins, a little spiky maybe, good persistence, ripe fruit, balanced, wood well-integrated, and a long, persistent finish. Spicy, round and serious. A cerebral, solid blend. Drink 2014-2018. "
